Ski tourers can enjoy unspoilt nature on a ski tour in the Watles winter sports area. Watles aims to ensure safe coexistence between ski tourers and piste skiers.
For this reason, there are special ascent routes for ski tourers. The "Höfer Alm" route starts directly at Prämajur and, as the name suggests, leads past the Höfer Alm alpine pasture. If you continue along the marked trail, you can make the final ascent to the peak of Watles (2,550 m).
You can also make the ascent up to the Watles via the "Große Sautal", where you can then reach the peak again via a prepared path.
A safe tour requires experience, local knowledge, equipment and information about the weather and snow conditions.
It is also important that tourers only stay on the designated paths and do not go onto the ski slopes or toboggan track in order to ensure their own safety and the safety of others.
